FAQ

When am I ready to join your Postnatal Exercise Program?

You must be 6 weeks post vaginal delivery and 12 weeks post C section, with medical clearance to join our classes. Medical clearance is usually given verbally by your GP/Obstetrician at the 6-week check. It's also worth checking in with yourself about your sleep and energy levels and whether you feel ready to commit to a block of exercise classes. If you are not sure whether you are ready to start a block of classes, then we can arrange a call to talk through your options.

Can I bring my baby along to SFC Postnatal Exercise Program?

Yes we absolutely welcome Mams bringing along their babies to our classes (as long as they are under 1 year old or are not walking yet!). We have lots of bouncer chairs and a playpen for the babies so they can watch the Mams exercising and interact and play with each other throughout the class .

What if my baby cries during the Postnatal Classes?

Our classes are very much baby-led so if your baby needs a cuddle, to be fed or changed you can do that at any stage during the class. We foster a relaxed and nurturing environment for Mam & baby! If you need to hold your baby in your arms and want to continue to exercise, you can be given an exercise variation that you can safely do while holding baby.

Can your purchase a drop-in class pass for the SFC Postnatal Exercise Program?

Because our Postnatal Exercise Program is a specialised program, it needs to be purchased in its entirety. There are no 'drop-ins' available for this course

Apart from postnatal classes, what other services do you offer?

I run women's Small Group personal training mid-week (time slots are mid-week early morning, lunchtime and evening) as well as a Saturday morning women's strength class from 8-9am. All of the these classes are pregnancy friendly and are located at St Vincent's GAA. I also provide 1:1 personal training.

Do you provide online coaching?

Currently this is not something I offer. I do however provide personalised gym programs that have videos of the exercises included.
